Advertising Leader Rejoins Multicultural
Advertising Industry; Reuniting Former Team
Daisy Expósito-Ulla, who helped create the largest advertising
and marketing agency in the U.S. Hispanic market, has acquired a major
stake in CMS/Partners, LLC. CMS, started in May 2005 by Expósito-Ulla’s
former colleagues Fernando Fernández and Gloria Constanza,
has grown substantially serving a diverse roster of clients. The company
will now operate under the name, d expósito & partners.
After a distinguished career as a major pioneer of Hispanic advertising,
serving as the founder and former Chairman & CEO of WPP’s
The Bravo Group and building the largest agency in the industry, Expósito-Ulla
left The Bravo Group in November 2004.
"Daisy's come back to the industry is great news for everyone,
especially clients,” said Fernández. "We immediately
saw that her addition allowed us to transition ourselves from a one
-year-old company into an established brand." "Daisy is
an idea person. Her creative, leadership style and energy will be
infused into every aspect of d expósito & partners,"
added Constanza.
Joining Expósito-Ulla, Fernandez and Constanza as partners
in this new venture are Mary Miqueli, former VP and GM Bravo Miami;
John Ross, Bravo’s former EVP and CFO as well as Expósito-Ulla's
husband and partner, Jorge Ulla, an award-winning filmmaker and TV
commercial director with broad advertising experience.
In a little more than a year, CMS Partners has attracted clients such
as McDonald's NY Tri-State Co-Op, Novartis Consumer Health, General
Electric Consumer Finance, Kare Distribution and Cerveza Tesoro. The
agency has also done project work for other clients, among them, Unilever
Foods. Current billings are estimated at $22 MM. The company has a
staff of 21 people.
Commenting on the new company, Expósito-Ulla said, “This
is an opportunity to build from an already solid platform, to strengthen
our offering and to capitalize on the endless potential for growth
and transformation in the Hispanic market arena today. We have a plan.
We know where we are and where we want to be. It will be fun doing
it all over again, this time with my name on the door!"
d expósito & partners will operate from its new Manhattan
headquarters at 875 Avenue of the Americas .
