
World's billionaires have an average net worth of $3 billion, down 23% in 12 month, and they are now 793, down from 1,125 last year, according to the Forbes magazine's annual list of the richest people on earth.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates lost $18 billion but regained his title
as the world's richest man with a personal fortune of $40 billion.
Investor Warren Buffett, last year's No. 1, lost $25 billion and this
year he is No. 2 with $37 billion. Mexican telecom mogul Carlos Slim
Helú maitained his spot in the top three with $35 billion after
losing $25 billion, according to Forbes.

4 - Lawrence Ellison, database titan and founder of Oracle, with $22.5 billion.
5 - Sweden's Ingvar Kamprad and family, owner of Ikea, with a fortune of $22 billion.
6- Germany's Karl Albrecht, who owns discount supermarket giant Aldi Sud, with $21.5 billion.
7 - India's Mukesh Ambani, owner of Oversees Reliance Industries, with $19.5 billion. Oil and petrochemicals.
8 - India's Lakshmi Mittal, owner of ArceloMittal, dedicated to steel and residing in London, UK, with $19.3 billion.
9 - Germany's Theo Albrecht, who runs discount supermarket group Aldi Nord, owner of Trader Joe's, with a personal fortune of $18.8 billion.
10 - Spain's Amancio Ortega, apparel manufacturer and founder of Inditex, who owns 4,000 stores in 71 countries, with $18.3 billion.
11 - Jim Walton, the richest member of the Walton family, owners of Wal-Mart, the world's largest retail store chain, with 7,200 stores and 2 million employees. He has a personal fortune of $17.8 billion.
12 - Alice Walton with $17.6 billion.
13 - Christy Walton and family with $17.6 billion.
14 - S. Robson Walton, $17.6 billion.
15 - France's Bernard Arnault, dedicated to luxury goods and owner of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, with $16.5 billion.
16 - Hong Kong's Li Ka-shing, a container terminals leader, world's largest health and beauty retailer, investor and a major supplier of electricity in his country. $16.2 billion.
17 - Michael Bloomberg, mayor of the City of New York and owner of Bloomberg LP, a financial information service, news service, magazine, cable network and radio station. $16 billion.
18 - Stefan Persson, of Sweden and owner of Hernnes & Mauritz, a cheap chic fashion retailer. $14.5 billion.
19 - Charles and David Koch, owners of Koch Industries dedicated to manufacturing and energy. $14 billion.
