Americas United Bank (AUB)
Appoints George Sevilla
Americas United Bank (AUB) announced the appointment of George Sevilla
to the position of Director of Sales headquartered in Glendale, CA. Sevilla
recently held the position of Team Leader for Banco Popular North America
and brings over 10 years of banking success and experience to AUB.
“George Sevilla is another terrific addition to the AUB team," announced
CEO and President Gil Dalmau. "His ability to produce made him a unanimous
choice to fill our Director of Sales position. In this position, George will
manage the bank’s business development team. We are delighted to have
him on board as we continue to grow our business.”
Sevilla’s interest in banking was sparked while he was attending
San Diego State University. At an early age, he learned that most CEO’s
of companies possessed Finance Degrees. He realized back then that he wanted
to major in Finance. Eventually, he narrowed his degree major to Institutional
Finance and Banking.
After college, Sevilla was recruited by Sumitomo Bank to participate in
their Account Officer Training program. He observed that this bank was
focused on reaching out to the Hispanic community and for that reason was
very interested in him. He knew that what ever he did in the future would
revolve around serving the Latino community. His position at AUB enables
him to do just that.
Sevilla is a native Californian who was born in Torrance, CA. He credits
his hard working parents for instilling positive values and a desire to
help others reach their full potential. “I always approach every
client / prospect of mine with the same level of professionalism and willingness
to assist,” states Sevilla.
AUB’s new Director of Sales astutely observes that as his customers’ businesses
have grown so has their banking relationship with him, representing the
ultimate win-win situation. Sevilla takes a consultative approach in his
work. He explains that his clients or prospects come to him with a particular
need and he takes pride and care in figuring out the best product or service
he can recommend. The end result is ensuring that the client saves time,
money or energy which in turn allows them to focus on their business.
Sevilla understands the value of knowledge. He is keen to share his knowledge
with people who show an effort and an eagerness to learn. He is married
to a very supportive and wonderful woman named Alena and has three wonderful
children, Danielle, Alyssa and Jared. A man of all-seasons, Sevilla enjoys
snowboarding, golfing, body boarding and mountain biking.
Americas United Bank (AUB) opened its doors for business in Glendale, California
as a State Chartered financial institution on November 6, 2006. It is the
first primarily Hispanic owned bank to open in the state of California
in over thirty years.
Founded by a group of business leaders (primarily from the Hispanic community), AUB is a full-service commercial bank that provides business and personal banking products and services, including business and real estate loans, SBA loans, lines of credit, corporate debit & credit cards, international trade solutions, and more.
